Nothing
There is a night club at the top and bottom of the property. (Both inside the hotel) They play loud music until 2am which makes it impossible to sleep in the rooms. You can hear every word of the songs. We were moved from level 3 to level 6 to escape the noise but it was no better. To make matters worse the staff just brushed it off saying “it’s a party hotel and we sent you an email stating the hours of the bars in the hotel before you arrived” I’ve been to plenty of hotels with bars in the building. What I didn’t expect was that they would play deafening music until 2am. The staff will admit that they get a lot of complaints about this to your face, but do nothing to improve the experience. Maybe they should read the room and do some sound proofing or maybe just turn the music down? I would think a basic standard for a hotel is that guests can actually sleep if they want to? Otherwise what am I paying for?? We had to fight hard and all that the hotel would offer is $60 off. Also the usb charging ports in the rooms were broken and there is nowhere to store any luggage in the room. Meaning you have to use your bed to put your suitcase on and then step over it at night. Lack of a refrigerator in a room in LA isn’t ideal either. We booked 3 nights but left after the second night. Better to scroll past this one.
Very clean and what you’d expect from a Hyatt branded hotel.
Really disappointed with the check-in. We were told our overseas card (Australian) didn’t work and I frantically tried contacting my bank online for an hour. After my bank told me there were no issues on their side, I approached the front desk again who said it was a system issue with Opera (the hotel management system). They said it was ‘complicated’ and didn’t give a proper apology for the inconvenience. It was a frustrating experience and I felt exhausted because the staff mostly unhelpful and made it seem like it was my fault.
