Was looking for a hotel closer to Fisherman's Wharf or to Oracle Park. This hotel is in a very congested area of San Francisco but lives up to its reputation as a premier hotel.
the room was very big, view stunning
The windows were not clean, so you could not perfectly see the sunset in the “sunset suite”. Hilton didn’t accept my gold status so no extra benefits with amex platinum and they charged the city tax twice ( it is included with booking.com) and additional fees like an arrival fee etc- not very professional I d say
Long lines for breakfast and parking. Staff unsure how to help
Valet parking long waits.
Breakfast
The water dripping by the air con was very annoying at the first night and the front desk immediately change the room for us from the 2nd night. That's very helpful.
There was a compulsory resort fee of USD35 per night. I paid that through booking.com. However, the front desk insisted that they couldn't see the payment at my booking and then charged me USD105 plus tax for three nights. I have requested booking.com to make a refund to me as that was charged by booking.com. It was clearly stated in the payment details. Up to today, nearly three weeks after checking out. Booking.com still not process a refund to me. It's totally not acceptable! Very disappointed about the communication between booking.com and the hotel.
