Union strike horrible experience.
The room view towards Union Square was phenomenal. The staff was helpful and attentive. The room was very spacious and the bed, so comfortable. The room had excellent amenities. Elevators were quick and with movie like views :-)
The strike that was going on during our stay kept us from enjoying a good night's sleep, although it's not the hotel's fault. The room windows don't provide enough isolation from street sounds. We didn't have the chance to enjoy breakfast in the hotel because of the strike and because some areas were being renovated at the time.
The property was decent and hotel staff were all very nice.
There is an employee strike out front and it’s extremely loud. The workers are asking for fair pay for the jobs they do to keep the property clean and comfortable. I believe they deserve this as the hospitality industry is nothing without housekeepers, room service, bell men, valet workers, janitors, cooks, and all of the other people they attempt to pay minimum wage.
The location is spot on for all your shopping needs
I made the reservation awhile ago for wife and my 20th wedding anniversary and was not notified that housing was on strike, Strike was one thing but the banging on junk out front was bad, scared the crap out of my Granddaughter and that is why we left early, The one employee in parking was super rude to me when I asked if I could get my phone ... Lady's at front desk were fantastic ...
The location was great. Room was also great!
Staff were on strike which made for a very loud experience entering and exiting the hotel. Give folks a living wage.
