New York CityBoutique hotel. Great location.
Would prefer a bath with a workable plug!
I love this beautiful, historic hotel. There is a lively coffee shop in the lobby with delicious coffee. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I loved having access to Chelsea Piers Fitness and attended a terrific hot yoga class at 10:15 Sunday.
Great location and cool patio vibe.
I booked two rooms at The High Line Hotel (max is 2 people per room and we’re a family of 4) Our experience was seriously impacted by a cockroach issue and a complete lack of accountability. On the morning of our second day, my husband discovered cockroaches (or likely water bugs, given their gigantic size—I’m an NYC native so I know my bugs) in his room. Not wanting to disrupt our tight schedule—and knowing I’d want to leave the hotel immediately—he chose not to tell me right away and went down to speak with the front desk himself. He was told only management could address it, but no one from management was available. On the third day, as we were checking out, he finally told me what had happened. We raised the issue again together and were again told that no manager was in the building, but that someone from management would follow up with us after our stay. No one did. I followed up by phone after we returned home and instead of receiving a call back, I got an email stating that because we had “declined to speak with management” (which is simply untrue—we were never given the opportunity), they couldn’t offer us anything. For the price and positioning of this hotel, this was a disappointing experience—both in terms of the bug issue and the lack of action.
Love this hotel. Staff is great, low key and really skilled. It is old school and yeah, some faded elements, but super clean and has panache. Love the robes!
With the exception of the squeaky floor, with every step I took, it was okay.
