Beautiful hotel. Plenty of room for parking. Staff was very friendly. Assisted us with our bags to our room. Dinner was amazing, with great views. Breakfast was served in a separate room. Lots of options. Cold and hot items to choose from. Also, the perk for us is we were away from the crazy traffic/town. But this hotel was about 15 minutes away from Portree. So you are close to gift shops, Boots Pharmacy, and restaurants if needed. In Portree you will have to pay to park. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends.
Not much. But I would say the shower was a little steep to get in and out of. They do have small handles.
Food and service was amazing. Breakfast options were good and the staff were very quick and friendly. Our room with the balcony was great to watch the sun set and to have a drink after dinner to relax. Staff was very accommodating for anything we needed.
Good location, old electic style, nice restaurant.
Extremely overpriced, generally pretentious . Rooms very small without enough space for our luggage. I could hear couple next door who were speaking at normal volume. If I paid 300 for the night, I would give a great review but i was stupid enough to pay 600.... pounds, not dollars ! What a big mistake that was. Go to Cuillian Hills Hotel instead, that is actually worth it. This is not. The breakfast was truly mediocre. Our room , 17, was on a footpath so we heard the trek to breakfast because the window was open. We were too hot in the room - poor ventilation and no AC or fan. Dinner was good but not exceptional while the prices were astronomical.
Service, location, remoteness
Nothing not to be liked
Restaurant service and food was excellent.
Bathroom renovation, while very recent, and initially attractive, was a fail. Lack of ventilation has already caused black mold on the ceiling. The room (19) should be de-commissioned until this is fully rectified. Drainage from shower cannot handle the volume of water from the shower. No where to place small soaps provided. Should instal a soap holder or convert to soap dispensers. Access to rooms 19 and 20 is difficult.
The Inn is historic, our deluxe room located on the second floor was nicely appointed and roomy. My son's room was comfortable, but not as large. The restaurant was a lovely bright room with a great view, and the food was delicious. The property was remote and beautiful. The room service, bar manager, reception attendant all were very pleasant to deal with.
These rooms were the most pricey of all the ones we stayed at in Scotland, and I don't feel my expectations were comparatively met.
A fantastic location. The place is magic!
