Convenient location, walkable to several different parts of the city, cute bathroom, great shower, quiet at night. Loved the aesthetic of the lobby and bar areas.

Great ambiance, coffee shop, and decor. Did not like not being able to control temp in my room, nor the low height bed. Also the building had plumbing issues. Loud noises emitted when turning off the sink.
Location - decor was lovely
Lighting in halls too dark It is safety issue.
The aestetic here is art-deco amazing. The theme carries into the rooms with thoughtful mini-bars containing pre-made cocktails and snacks with local companies. The coffee shop in the lobby serves Onyx - one of the best coffee roasters in the US and winners of many awards. (This may be the only place to get this coffee in Detroit). The front desk attendee is witty and seems to love his job. Both visits, chatting with him or just getting checked in were definite highlights. There is so much to do including the built in bars, next-door record store, and Sids Gold karaoke room - all in the same building. I have yet to use the barber shop, but it looks great. In addition to the in-building libations and entertainment, the location is central to almost everything downtown you'd want to see, and the Q line is near for things a little further than walking. This is also one of the most affordable places to stay in the city. Absolutely worth the money.
I have no bads. The last time we stayed they were in transition from one of the in house restaurants, so it was closed - but it didn't really matter.
We love this hotel and plan on staying here every time we come to Detroit. It’s clean and comfortable and a perfect location. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Charming boutique hotel in Downtown Detroit. Friendly staff. Cute decor and generally quite comfortable. Good lively bar for a night cap on the ground floor. Solid wifi connection.
No kettle, no complementary coffee/tea or water. No desk, so not ideal for people who might need to work in the room.
