It was extremely hot and even with the fan the room was boiling and had to move to another hotel

The room was very nice and the location perfect, 1 min from the lake and 2’ from the city centre.

Lack of air condition

Hotel is nice in general, It looks great and it is clean. Great location and rooms are nice. Staff were always friendly.

Breakfast is a little limited. Some rooms do not have air conditioning. I had an issue with my shower, as the water was not running out. After bringing the issue to reception in the morning, I arrived back at night and nothing had been changed or repaired. I had to ask for a room change in the middle of the night in order to shower. For a 4 start hotel I would have expected better. It can be uncomfortable to arrive or unload by car since the street is only for pedestrians and there is no space to stop and unload in a nearby street.

Location and decor

No air conditioning. Not made clear that many old Geneva hotels don't have it. Was incredibly hot. Wear and tear to corridors. Fire risk from back of house staircase left open with old mattresses stacked within. Staff seemed disinterested. Hadn't sent free public transport codes before and first attempt to send failed. Didn't know how bike hire worked. No standard EU plug sockets and no UK to Swiss adapters.

Location was excellent.

It was very hot weather and since there is no air conditioning we needed to open the windows. Only one window opened. The other one was purposely locked shut. We were on the first floor so I don’t know if it was a security issue but they said it was because we were on the first floor. That was all we were told. . They gave us a fan for the room which did help the situation. They also provided a lot of bottled water chilled in their refrigerator. Which was very appreciated. So there was an attempt to make us more comfortable.
