New York CityClean, good location and modern rooms
No kettle in room but staff were happy to provide hot water
We like that they were flexible with our needs
The room was very narrow and it was hard to get around my spouse to get to the bathroom
Very clean, sleek, ultra modern, attractive room. For a small room, they made the most of it with everything you need. Fabulous view with very large window. Very accommodating staff person, Brittney, I think.
The price was too high for the very compact room that I got. The TV and air were controlled with an iPad but they”ran out of iPads”, so I had to have the front desk come up when I needed to turn on the TV. The air needed changing 2 times. Because I didn’t have an iPad, I had to get out of bed, call the operator and ask her to change the air. Come on, how do you “run” out of iPads in a hotel this high end and pricey when you need it for controls!? Also, absolutely no instructions for how things worked(lights, turning on the water in the shower which is not the usual way one turns on water, etc.) Again, the staff person had to come to my room and show me!! Last but least, although the room had a king sized bed, implying more than one person could sleep in it, I can’t imagine more than one person in such a compact room.
I liked so much about this hotel! To start, every single staff person I encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was bright and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great with a handful of subway stations in the vicinity, including one right across the street. The public spaces of the hotel are wonderful. We didn't buy the breakfast, but we had coffee made to order every morning and the seating area was comfortable and great for lounging, reading and people watching. The rooftop deck is awesome with a variety of seating options...sofas, chairs and tables...and has fabulous views. Good cocktail offerings at the rooftop bar too. I would definitely stay here again.
The bathroom and shower situation is not ideal. The bathroom/toilet area could be a little more private. Also in order to turn on the shower you have to reach in under the shower head to access the knob and you get sprayed with cold water when you do it.
