Location Location Location!
There were items (Microwave/ Fridge and a few other items) that were listed for our room when we booked online but we had neither in our room.
the view
1. the sticky floors in our room, feels like they clean with mop & glo the way our shoes were sticking. 2. the smallest balcony that is only big enough for one person and feels unsafe 3. no fridge or microwave in our room 4. restaurant was understaffed, only one waiter available for breakfast. I felt bad to ask the server for something, they were working so hard. 5. calling our room a "suite" was a stretch, these rooms are smaller than most hotel standard size rooms
location, walking distance to most places. The valet parking was well worth the extra money. Was very impressed with the staff when checking in. Eating breakfast on the sixth floor and outside was a great experience.
larger balcony, but it was nice just to be able to walk out on one.
Gorgeous views and wonderful front desk staff and valet. The location is FANTASTIC. Walkable to both city market, the Riverwalk, and close to trolley stops etc. The front desk sorted us out after a disaster of mess ups at the indigo across the street. They got us in and taken care of and we loved the ppl Antonio and Shawn in particular were wonderful to us. They looked after us and went above and beyond more than once. Do go for a special occasion and spend more for a river view. It made our stay magical. To stand on the balconies and hear the music and see the boats passing by was really incredible.
The price is very steep for the room value. If you have a room below the lobby its very dark. I would have opted for a cheaper hotel that was nicer. $400 for a dingy small dark room. . . The bar staff was incredibly rude and dismissive and the service was insanely slow. It took over 40 ministers for one to go pasta dish. (It was almost dead when I went in). I truly expect better hospitality from a boutique hotel of this caliber. Ive bartended and worked in service for YEARS. It didnt seem like they were warm, interested in helping people, or having any hustle for speed of service. It was truly disappointing. The staff for breakfast however was warm, and gave great service!
Great location, cool building, rooftop bar/restaurant.
Elevators were commonly used by non-residents heading to the rooftop or River street, which tied up the elevators and forced us to deal with loud drunks every time we wanted to go out . Additionally our room was one floor under street level and looked into an alley, which had some indigents smoking something for a good portion of the morning. We couldnt open our blinds without them staring in at us. Kind of ridiculous for $500 per night.
