Excellent facilities and outlook

A bit inflexible regarding things like breakfast etc, hours of reception etc

Apartment for two people, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, but if you're paying for half board, the kitchen is not important. Comfortable bed, small but sufficient bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are both generous, buffet style.

At dinner, some of the food was not even hot enough when you put it on the plate, but this must have been due to the large number of guests, as the staff had to serve a huge amount of food. The worst part of staying there was the last day/night. 600 students arrived and almost blew the place up, and the calm that had been there turned into a nightmare in an instant. The students were making noise in every part of the apartment village, it was impossible to rest, even at 11pm the noise was unbearable. I said the first two days that I would definitely return here, which I did not refuse, but I would make sure to ask when booking if any students were coming for sports week and if so, I would avoid the place. Good place, but only without student guests arriving for sports week. Unfortunately, they are frequent guests.

The units we ultimately had were clean. They were large enough, with clean towels and washing up facilities. Kitchen utensils present for four people.

On arrival, units were not together as requested. Then there were ants in one of the units and the toilet was leaking. The staff were helpful and moved us immediately to two adjacent units, and upgraded the one unit free of charge. The units had a foul stench like drainage but otherwise were clean and decent. however, we were then kept awake til gone 3am by neighbours partying. Even though the resort clearly has a quiet policy from midnight to 6am. Second night was also loud but then when leaving the reception staff told us that they had over 600 teenagers there on a sports tournament. To be fair, they discounted our stay and were very apologetic, but had we known this, we'd not have stayed there. Upshot - staff were friendly, helpful and understanding, but we were very tired leaving the resort and had this been our first experience of Croatia, we'd not have returned. Thankfully, we have been to about a dozen towns all over Croatia and understand this was the exception (and we were just unlucky with timing by the sounds of it).

Our stay at Maistra Select Amarin Resort was delightful. Service, staff, food and apartment, we were very satisfied with everything. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rovinj, especially with kids.

Breakfast was delicious but a bit expensive, location very good and easy to find, but you need car if you want to go to the city center. Apartment was very clean and well equipped. Stuff very kind and friendly.

Bad should be more comfortable and towels could be better.
