Beautiful historic monastery in a beautiful peaceful, scenic setting.
The dining room staff seem to be very unhappy, like robots. Casts a shadow over what could have been a very pleasant dining experience. All other staff including those in the informal restaurant, were very nice & engaging.
It is absolutely beautiful
I like it all
Beautiful building
Walks very difficult to follow
Dinner was very poor. From the moment we went into beautiful dining room, the maitre D was slack. We waited 10-15 minutes before anyone came to offer us a menu. I believed that I had paid for a set tasting menu. We tried the ' pulpo' it was inedible. The waiter kindly took it away and we chose ' ravioli' with mushrooms. We were served a different pasta. It was fine. I would like clarification on my bill this was not a good dinner.
Dinner could have been a lot better. Also there was a terrible smell of drains in our bedroom and bathroom.
Fantastic monastery building steeped in history. Really sympathetic conversion into a parador. Our room was excellent, bed extremely comfortable, bathroom excellent. Evening meal on the terrace was superb. Breakfast was amazing.
The booking through booking.com got messed up. Booked two rooms - 2 and 1 adults. Initial response from Booking.com was aligned to this but subsequently it became two rooms for 1 adult each room. However produced all the emails and booking.com app messages and sorted easily enough. Do continue to check the details of the booking with each and every message.
It's a very spacious place, A lot to visit in the hotel/monastery, even fullit'zs not crowded. Restaurant has grret menu good pricing and is very good.
