Luxury

Prague, often referred to as the City of a Hundred Spires, is a breathtaking destination that seamlessly combines the medieval with the modern. As I embarked on my journey from Charlotte Airport to Prague, I was filled with both excitement and a bit of mommy guilt. Yet, this solo adventure was a chance to explore this enchanting city, famed for its historic architecture, vibrant culture, and delectable cuisine.

A Luxurious Start at Charlotte Airport

Traveling can be hectic, especially in the summer months. Charlotte Airport proved to be no exception, with its bustling atmosphere. However, my journey took a turn for the better with a visit to the Priority Lounge. If you have the right credit card, it's a worthy retreat with delicious breakfast options like scrambled eggs and cheese grits. With no waiting in the early morning, it was the perfect prelude to my Lufthansa business class flight to Prague.

Welcoming Comfort of the Cosmopolitan Hotel

Upon arrival in Prague, the Cosmopolitan Hotel offered a warm and inviting respite. This local boutique hotel provided clean, comfortable accommodations and boasted a superb on-site restaurant. After a refreshing shower, it was time to explore the rain-kissed city streets.

Relaxation and Revival at Beer Spa Prague

In the midst of Prague's famously changing weather, I sought refuge in a unique experience at Beer Spa Prague. This spa offers a rejuvenating beer bath, incorporating hops and yeast to leave your skin feeling silky smooth. With unlimited beer on tap, it's a quirky yet popular tourist attraction. While the strong smell of beer may not be for everyone, it's certainly worth the experience.

Dining Delight and Street Treats

Prague is a haven for food lovers, featuring everything from hearty local dishes to international cuisine. The pork shoulder and duck, reminiscent of a Thanksgiving meal, is something you'll want to savor. Don't miss out on the sweet treats sold throughout the city—they're the perfect prelude to a grand dinner.

Exploring the Historic Streets of Prague

No visit to Prague would be complete without a walk along the Charles Bridge. This medieval stone arch bridge draws countless tourists and has an air of romance and history. Walking across its storied paths feels like stepping back in time.
Within the sprawling grounds of the Prague Castle lies the Old Royal Palace. This majestic site offers glimpses into the royalty of the 12th century. While vast, with vast trails and hidden nooks, it rewards exploration with a sense of royal grandeur.

Marvelous Memories in Old Town Square

Old Town Square in Prague is the heart of the city, ever bustling and overflowing with energy. It is a beautiful melding of history, culture, and modern vibrancy. Make sure to catch the astronomical clock at the top of the hour—a spectacle worth witnessing in this lively square.

Cruising along the Vltava River

Aside from its streets, the best way to see Prague might just be from the deck of a boat cruising along the Vltava River. These tours range from basic to luxurious, offering fine dining with views that are unrivaled. Whether in the day or under the moonlit sky, this perspective gives a unique glimpse into the city’s beauty.

Building a Travel Legacy

Prague, with its legendary charm and rich history, proves to be a city that stays with you long after you've left. Whether you're there to immerse yourself in history, indulge in delightful cuisine, or simply explore the streets, Prague offers a vacation experience that is both luxurious and accessible. Whether you’re traveling solo or with company, make sure Prague is at the top of your travel bucket list.
