Singapore is a vibrant city that captivates visitors with its mix of cultural experiences and family-friendly attractions. Our family of three recently had the pleasure of exploring this urban oasis, and with just two days to spare, we sought to make the most out of our visit. From the enchanting foliage at the Cloud Gardens to culinary delights like VeganBurg, our Singapore trip was an unforgettable blend of adventure, relaxation, and delectable cuisine.
Starting our day at the Cloud Gardens, we were greeted by an oasis of lush greenery, perfectly positioned in a climate-controlled dome—an ideal escape from Singapore's notorious humidity. Despite the ticket prices that initially took us by surprise, the experience was worth every penny. As parents know, traveling with kids can be challenging, especially when jet lag sets in. However, discovering the interactive Crystal Cavern gave us a much-needed pause and plenty of fun.
No trip to Singapore is complete without sampling its world-renowned food scene. Seeking plant-based options, we headed to VeganBurg, celebrated as the world's first vegan burger joint. The restaurant's delicious and innovative menu left us craving more, and even our picky eater found something to love. The itinerary also took us to the Fortune Center, a haven for vegetarian delights where we indulged in a range of dishes, including scrumptious vegetarian chicken rice.
After a day of exploring, nothing felt more refreshing than plunging into the infinity pool of our luxury hotel, which offered breathtaking views from the 25th floor. We also ventured to the Giant Observation Wheel for an awe-inspiring view of Singapore's skyline at night—a visual treat that captivates both parents and kids alike. Our journey on the observation wheel, although harrowing due to a little mishap, ended with wonderful customer service and a memorable experience.
Our second day began with a splash at a local water park, followed by a leisurely bike ride that offered scenic views and a break from the walking. As we trotted around the city, we stumbled upon the Time Capsule, an animated spectacle that delves into Singapore's rich history—a perfect family-friendly activity that keeps everyone entertained.
Even though our time in Singapore was drawing to a close, the adventure wasn't over. Arriving at the Singapore Changi Airport early, we aimed to explore its famed features, like the Jewel waterfall and butterfly garden. While timing was not on our side this time, the anticipation of what Changi had to offer left us with a bit of wanderlust, ensuring we'd return someday.
In our brief visit, Singapore proved to be an enriching destination, seamlessly blending modernity with tradition, topped with a sprinkle of tropical flair. Whether you're a foodie, nature lover, or a parent looking for an enriching journey for your kids, Singapore provides an immersive and unforgettable travel experience. We left with hearts full of memories and bellies full of delightful food, eagerly anticipating our next family adventure.
