War Remnants Museum

The War Remnants Museum is one of the most sobering but important stops in the city. Inside, you’ll find photographs, artefacts, and even military vehicles that tell the story of Vietnam’s struggles during the war.

Saigon Central Post Office

Our second stop was the Saigon Central Post Office, a beautiful remnant of French colonial architecture. Designed by none other than Gustave Eiffel—yes, the same man behind the Eiffel Tower. And you can still mail a postcard home from here!

The Independance Palace

The Independence Palace also publicly known as the Reunification Convention Hall is a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon), Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngô Viết Thụ and was the home and workplace of the president of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). It was the site of the Fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975 that ended the Vietnam War, when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates.
