Jägala waterfall is only 30 minutes away from Tallinn. Visiting the spectacular waterfall in wintertime (December-March) is a truly amazing experience. Often in winter, the temperatures drop to freezing, and the waterfall turns into a gleaming ice wall.
During this time, the site offers breathtaking views with its large icicles. Sometimes, it’s even possible to walk behind a wall of ice. After enjoying one of Estonia's eight most photographed places, have a cozy winter picnic with homemade pies.
Tasting local Estonian schnapps and hot tea will keep you warm. The tour takes no more than two hours, so you have plenty of time to do some sightseeing in Tallinn for the rest of the day.

The tour is available year-round, but please note that the waterfall is not frozen during warm temperatures. It is still a beautiful site to visit all year round.
The activity provider, Nela was very professional and experienced. She was very accommodating. We enjoyed what she has prepared for us. She gave us the Estonian experience by the falls surrounded by nature completed with Vana Tallinn shots! She then dropped us off at the Old town to experience the medieval Eatonia.
Tour guide was brilliant and had great picnic with tradition Estonian food

The tour was great. We really enjoyed it. The waterfall is very beautiful and definitely worth it. The picnic was delicious, and we had the opportunity to try Estonian specialties. The trip was easy; we would definitely recommend it.
The tour guide was great, she answered all our numerous question about the country. The waterfall was beautifull, the site is a must see even if the whole waterfall was not frozen. We enjoyed a really nice picnic.
Top Guide! Amazing Spot!
Our guide was phenomenal. She greeted us with a great smile, and was very cordial during the trip. She explained to us the history of Estonia, and culture. The falls were amazing, the picnic was awesome, the hand made house coffee phenomenal… loved it.
I don’t think it could be any better. What a delightful morning.
My visit to Jagalin Waterfall was amazing, thanks to lady tour guide. The pickup was punctual, making the experience smooth from the start. Our guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable and passionate, sharing interesting facts about the area and its history along the way. The waterfall looked stunning against the snowy backdrop, and the peaceful atmosphere made it even more special. One of the highlights was the local food picnic—it was such a unique experience to enjoy warm, traditional dishes in the middle of this beautiful snowy landscape Overall, it was a well-planned and enjoyable experience. If you’re looking for a stress-free way to explore Jagalin Waterfall, I’d highly recommend this tour!
