Board a comfortable vehicle, drive along Geneva lake to reach the fortified village of Yvoire. It is authentic, with its ramparts and gates that were used to defend the town. Built in 1036, Yvoire’s castle is the target of all photography-lovers of Yvoire. When under construction in the 14th century, the military dungeon was used to watch the navigation and control the road that linked Geneva to the high valley of the Rhône and to Italy. Today, the majestic shape of the castle is still standing as a sentinel on Lake Geneva.
Spend some free time and enjoy the atmosphere of this unique place. Enjoy the restaurants with its typical fish dish called “filet de perche” in front of the magnificent Lake. Classified among the most beautiful villages of France, the medieval city of Yvoire, fishermen's authentic village, is situated right by the Leman Lake. It is outstandingly flowery and livened up by artists and craftsmen, is one of the inescapable sites of Chablais. You will be enchanted with the Garden “des Cinq Sens” and its labyrinth of greenery. 700-years-old, the village has miraculously preserved invaluable testimonies of past: castle, ramparts, doors and ditch. It is a member of a prestigious Association of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”.
You will have a map and you can wonder yourself in this beautiful village. To come back to Geneva, board an old steamer boat “Belle Epoque” cruise, an original journey to enjoy the banks of the lake from the water.

expensive tour, to basically walk around an old town, yes there is a castle but it is privately owned so you really cant get an up close look, which is understandable. so basically your paying for a ride to restaurants and some shops. for the 4 of us we could of rented a car and drove there for cheaper. the boat ride back was nice but not for the money we paid.
The price is not adequate to the quality of the trip, the trip is described very poorly in the application, we found out all the information only at the carrier's office. The guide is only a driver, he does not provide any information about the place or its history. The town is beautiful and worth seeing, but from an organized trip you expect more than transport to one place. Plus for the fact that during the cruise you have a 1st class ticket.
there was very little communication about connections and travel. it is COMPLETELY self guided. I wouldn't consider this a tour, it is strictly transportation on a bus, and a sheet of paper telling you what you should see and how to get in the boat.
The title is misleading. There is no entrance and minimal view of the castle. They drop you off in an “medieval village” with a bunch of stores and a garden that’s entrance is not included. Then you at least get first class on the 2 hr boat ride home.
Everything was closed, wasted time. Only the boat is positive, so 2 stars, so I would give 0.
Very nice village. Relax. Lots of opportunities to chill, eat and drink.
The village is beautiful but does not need more than a few hours to enjoy. Boat ride back to Geneva was refreshing.
Excelente!
Castle was closed, city was boring, boat ride was good.
