Skip the lines and explore the Met’s masterpieces on a guided tour. Dive straight into 5,000 years of art, guided by an expert who illuminates the Met’s greatest masterpieces and most iconic works.
Meet your guide at the entrance of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. After a brief introduction about the tour’s theme and the Met's significance as a cultural treasure, your Met adventure begins in the Great Hall.
From there, move seamlessly into the Egyptian Wing, where the monumental Temple of Dendur awaits. Transported block by block, this masterpiece holds stories of ancient civilizations that your guide will unravel, offering deeper understanding and appreciation.
Next, venture into the American Wing, where you’ll encounter iconic works like "Washington Crossing the Delaware" and landscapes that shaped the vision of America’s early art scene.
Moving on, see how these American masterpieces contrast with the works of European masters. In the European Art galleries, marvel at masterpieces by the likes of Velazquez, Rembrandt, and Van Gogh, each telling a story of artistic evolution across centuries.
The tour continues through the vibrant colors and bold expressions of Modern Art, featuring works by Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, and Pablo Picasso. Your guide will share fascinating anecdotes and insights that reveal the brilliance behind these revolutionary pieces.
If you’re visiting during the summer season, the tour culminates with access to the Met’s panoramic roof garden. Here, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline, a perfect way to cap off your cultural adventure.

The tour was amazing. Our guide, Nicola, explained everything so passionately and understandable, I learned a lot about art in general and the Met in particular. I highly recommend it, for me, it was totally worth the money!
Great guides and wonderful tour!
Short but long enough to get some impression of collected art.
Our guide John knew how to guide us to the museum's must-see exhibits. His rich and passionate commentary greatly contributed to the success of our visit.
The guide was very friendly and showed us different works each time.
Very interesting, although two hours is obviously just a taste... you would need at least a couple of days to visit the MET. But if you don't have much time, there's definitely no better way. Our tour guide, Mike, was very clear and friendly and helped make this activity special.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control – unexpected subway issues and train delays – we arrived at the museum approximately 30 minutes late. Upon arrival, we were informed by the museum staff that they could not assist us with our tickets, as those were to be provided by the guide. We immediately reached out to your team, kindly asking for assistance, especially considering we were only slightly late and the guide was most likely still inside the museum with the group. To our surprise, we were told that there was no way to contact the guide or help us access our tickets. This was very frustrating and disappointing, particularly given the price we had already paid for the service. In the end, we were fortunate enough to receive printed tickets from a helpful museum employee, based on the voucher we had received from you. While we are very grateful for their help, we were truly let down by the complete lack of support from City Wonders.
Leo was a very knowledgeable guide and showed us quite good and interesting information about the exhibits of the Metropolitan Museum of Art
