Guide tip
while our guide had a nice personality and tried hard, the tour was awful. we've done ghost tours in Charleston, St. Augustine, Shaker Village and other tours in Lexington, this one was by far the worst. She has basic facts of American history wrong. she claimed the American Civil war started in 1820 when the correct date is 1861. She also stated Transylvania University was founded in 1894 when the correct date is 1780 and she stated Transy is an "Art" school when she meant (I think) to say "Liberal Arts" school. She also said the sisters at St. Peter & Paul School lived in a brothel when she meant a convent. At least we all got a good laugh out of that one. Her delivery was nervous and sketchy, every other word out of her mouth was either "uh" or "um". while she tried hard and seemed to be a sweet young lady she was unprepared for the work, and at the age of 18 lacking the charisma a strength of personality to effectively tell the stories that can make a ghost tour fun.
The guide really tried, but the tour was poorly scripted and executed. We hate leaving a bad review, but cannot in good conscience recommend this tour.
