Fatima, Batalha, Nazare and Obidos are iconic locations in Portugal, each with its rich history and cultural significance. This region, marked by its religious heritage and stunning landscapes, Fatima has one of the most important Marian shrines in the world. In 1917, three shepherd children (Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia) reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary, who conveyed messages of faith and hope. Near by the village of Batalha is renowned for its monumental Gothic monastery, the Monastery of Batalha (Mosteiro da Batalha), officially known as the Monastery of Saint Mary of the Victory (Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitória).
Close to Batalha, there is the beautiful city of Nazare, famous for its giant waves. Nazare is notable not only for its natural beauty, but also for its fishing tradition. The beach and promontory are renowned among surfers who challenge these seasonal and rare waves also known as "Canhao da Nazare" on the famous Praia do Norte.
A few kilometers away we can find the walled village of Obidos with more than 2000 years of history, allowing a total evolution from its picturesque streets to its imposing walls. Indulge in its delicacies, including chocolates and the famous Ginjinha.

Poco tiempo en Fátima y Obidos. No nos gustó Nazare.
A guia era péssima (Madalena). Impaciente, indelicada, grossa, inflexivel para horarios, nao queria fazer nada da vontade do grupo. O passeio nao especifica quanto tempo fica em cada local, eu gostaria de ter ficado um tempo em fátima porem era apenas 1 hora nao deu pra nada. Além de tudo a guia nos levou para fazer compras em fatimas em uma loja mais cara do que a oficial, só poraue la ela ganhava comissao. Alem de tudo uma colega do posseio de perdeu e a guia disse que nao ia al encontro dela pq nao era taxista. pessima!! A guia fumou proximo ao carro, um cheiro terrivel de cigarro. Me tratou super mal varias vezes. E nao deu tempo fazer tudo que estava proposto pq uma pessoa do grupo se perdeu e demorou a chegar na hora marcada, as demais sairam prejudicadas
Excellent guide (Jaoa). he is funny and provides alot of useful information. the tour is not mostly self guided though. the ending point is not the same as starting point. both of these were disappointing.

Ricardo was funny, knowledgeable, and flexible to ensure we all had a fabulous day! If he can, he will. I asked to be dropped off in Nazare to tour the lighthouse and the spot for the biggest wave surf competition and he rearranged a few things and made it happen! He loves Portugal and wants you to as well. Highly recommend!
