What to Expect:

This is a full-scale public facility, and that's part of its charm. You'll share the space with locals going about their daily routines – something many visitors find adds an authentic, unpretentious atmosphere you won't find at a private spa. That said, it's worth knowing: during peak hours and school term time, the pools can be busy and lively, with families and children very much part of the picture.

If you're looking for a quieter, more relaxed experience, we recommend visiting on a weekday morning or evening – these are consistently the calmest times to enjoy the facilities at your own pace.

Arctic Wellness

The heated outdoor pool is the centrepiece – warm water, open sky, and panoramic views over Tromsø and the surrounding mountains. On clear winter evenings, the northern lights can appear directly overhead. Pair it with a session in the Finnish sauna and steam bath, followed by a cold plunge, and you have a classic Nordic bathing ritual in one of the world's most dramatic settings.

Our 50-metre competition pool is one of the finest in Northern Norway – perfect for travellers who want to keep up their training while on the road. Dedicated lanes make it well-suited for serious lap swimming.
