Tips
The park is beautiful, but there isn't enough time to enjoy it. Instead of the three hours planned, we only had two. It's difficult to find your way around, so it's hard to fully enjoy it before you get your bearings.
It was a very long day, but the guide was great, there was many stops along the way, the bus was comfortable, we had a good amount of time in the park to explore and overall happy with the trip. would recommend!
The bus would have been better and bigger.
Transport did not pick up at designated site. Thankfully, we thought to take an Uber to the alternate pickup location. We were then scolded for being 4 minutes late. On the return trip, transportation refused to take us to our designated drop off location so we took another Uber back to our hotel. The trip was nice enough but with a 4.5 hour trip back and forth and having to endure the constant chatter from other passengers for the duration of the trip back and forth (we got a particularly chatty bunch of travellers), it was just not worth it. To make matters worse, the driver just delivered his monologuing about the sites above the chatter making for a really aggravating ride. The park was awesome of course but this trip was just too expensive and too aggravating!
On the way back we made an effort to spot many ducks
The trip is a bit tiring because of the distance but it is worth it, our guide Don was excellent, very attentive and careful, excellent experience, the place is wonderful ❣️
The bus was very old, but we had a really funny and nice guide who always gave us the feeling that he was doing this tour with heart and passion. I can only recommend it ❤️
The day trip to Yosemite was wonderful but the cost of the trip is a lot of money for what it is, but I understand that is mainly down to petrol costs. We arrived back to San Francisco later than anticipated as the driver decided he wanted to stop off for dinner at his friends restaurant which meant we all had to dine there and get back a hour later to San Fran
As a solo traveler who can’t drive, these group trips are a great and efficient way to see national parks far away from the city. We stopped at all the prominent photo spots and got to do a little hiking. I’m a bit more active than most people on the tour, so I would have liked another hour of hiking and one less hour spent on our pit stops along the way. Driving to Yosemite, we spent about half an hour at the grocery store getting lunch. On the way home, we spent another 50 minutes in that same parking lot getting dinner. I think most people appreciated the stop, but I was getting antsy waiting around.
