Oaxaca: Hierve el Agua Petrified Waterfalls and Pools Tour

We were looking for a ride to Hierve el Agua without all the stops and this was a fantastic choice, although we did make one very short stop on the way at a bakery to sample local traditional breads. Our guide was really informative and we learnt a few things about the city and the surroundings. It was a comfortable minibus and we drove though stunning landscapes. We had 3 hours to hike and swim which was plenty of time. Great value for money and a good option for those looking for a shorter trip (6 hours).

Activity was 6 hours not 8, we had 3 hours free. 1.5 hour drive each way. Left promptly. Did NOT drop us off at our hotel, despite the description advertising that and also receiving a WhatsApp message the night before also confirming there will be hotel drop off at the end. Need to update the listings, I was very disappointed by that.

Good value for money and a nice easy way to see hierve el Agua without all the additional stops. Took at about 6 hours in total which was perfect for us.

On time. Good info from the tour operator. Just transport to and from the site, although the guide offered good support on the walking route. Just what we wanted

Way below the expectations. We read that the place is not as beautiful as they say and we can confirm now. The pools are disappointing and the hike is uninteresting. It’s worth visiting only if you add other stops to your excursion (e.g., Mitla). The guide was virtually non-existent.

Nice recreational area, but unfortunately the service was nothing more than a taxi ride there, and the price was quite high. They asked for 5-star reviews and only rewarded those with a bottle of mescal. I think the official word for that is "fraud."
