It’s perfect if you just want to see Hierve el Agua and nothing more. Entrance costs 20 + 50 pesos per person. Trekking tour around the waterfalls took almost 2 hours. The walking path is steep in some places. We are both in late 60’s but in a good physical form. We made many stops for taking photos and getting rest. We had one hour left for clothes change x 2, swim in the pools and come back to our van. Personally I could use more time there, but we all are different and have different needs. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Ideal for quick half day trip to the Hierve el Agua, tour was 6hrs not 8, and 3hrs is plenty of time to hike/swim and spend time in the town!
Very good trip, it is just the transport to Hierve el agua and back. No unnecessary stops at any sales events. You have 3 hours on site, which is more than enough for the hike and to swim in the pools. - the hike does not take as long as stated if you walk at a normal pace and can cope with the terrain. You can take your time enjoying the beautiful views, as the path is a circular route, you do not come to the same place twice. Immediately after the first descent you are at the foot of the large waterfall, where you can take the most impressive photos of the route. - you do not need a guide, the hike is self-explanatory - the bus is new and modern, but the seats are extremely narrow. In the back row there is no window at eye level and these are by far the most uncomfortable seats, best to avoid these if possible.
A perfect, simple trip. 3 hours is plenty of time to see the waterfalls, enjoy the pools, and grab a snack. We arrived at Hierve el Agua at noon, and it wasn't too busy. And since it was the warmest part of the day, the pools were refreshing and not ice cold.
Just a little expensive transport but worth it
Everything was great. Highly recommended.
Excellent transport service, gave clear instructions
There was no guide, you would have had to book one separately. The place is beautiful, but it was a bit expensive just for the transport.
