Our guide, Jonny, was excellent. But you should t have a toucan on the picture of the tour. It’s misleading. My family really wanted to see toucans.
We had a great time spotting birds in Curi Cancha. Our guide was knowledgeable, helped us take great pictures, and he kindly stayed a little longer so that we got to spot a toucan!
Daniel was really great. We’ve been fortunate as a family to have had numerous opportunities to hike through forests with guides and Daniel stayed interested, focused, excited, and informative the entire time. We saw numerous flora and fauna unique to the area including an extended time watching a large group of spider monkeys! Can highly recommend…
Johnny is a fantastic Monteverde native field guide who is extremely knowledgeable about birds, orchids, and other plants and animals. It was an honor to learn about the biodiversity of Monteverde. We saw a keel-billed toucan, a male bell bird (!!!), mot mot, honeycreeper, hummingbirds, hoffman's woodpeckers, dacnis, jays, and more. Not only is he a seasoned guide but he is also a fun and chill guy with an interesting life! 10/10 loved this tour!
We had so much fun on our tour with Johnny. He was able to spot sooo many different birds for us. 100% recommend
Johnny was an enthusiastic and skilled guide, and well as a super nice and interesting person. We really enjoyed our time with him and learned a lot. Highly recommend!
Really great! The highlight was spotting a toucan next to its nest. We saw several other species of birds and even a boa constrictor. Johnny, our guide, infused the tour with knowledge, bird calls, and humorous anecdotes.
Highlights of this tour were the variety of hummingbirds, interesting vegetation and the small group which allowed for questions a d an opportunity to view birds closely with a scope or binoculars without feeling rushed. The reserve is lovely overall, our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, although arrived 15 minutes late for the tour.
Johnny was cool and talked a lot. The tour was really fun. We saw lots of hummingbirds, two toucans, two agoutis, porcupines, and other birds.
