Embark on a guided tour of the Terezin concentration camp on a day trip from Prague. Gain an understanding of life in a concentration camp and see an authentic Gestapo prison.
Depart from Prague on an air-conditioned bus and hear about the impact and legacy of WWII and Nazi presence in the Czech Republic. Arrive at Terezin and make your way into the museum located in the Large Fortress, formerly an all-boys school.
Explore what once served as a holding camp for Jews from all over Europe and was exploited for Nazi propaganda purposes during a Red Cross visit in 1944.
Hear the stories of those who were imprisoned there and view a propaganda film before moving on to the cemetery and crematorium.
Next, cross the river and tour the horrifying conditions for prisoners held in the Small Fortress, from the cell of Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s assassin to the firing squads organized by the Gestapo. Once the tour is over, board the bus back to Prague.

Peut être équiper le guide d’un micro et des écouteurs pour les participants! Avec le bruit de l’autobus, il était difficile d’entendre le guide
Our guide was extremely dull, his English was subpar, and upon arrival at the Small Fortress, things became very disorganized. We were handed off to a local guide, with no explanation on when we’d rejoin the tour guide (who escorted half the group in another language) or when the bus would leave for the next stop (Terezin Museum). He shouted rudely at guests who were late meeting the bus. This was an awful experience. It’s extremely important to visit Terezin, but find another provider.
Exciting area and opportunity to learn a lot. Unfortunately, our guide spoke very poor English and was almost impossible to understand. He also spoke Italian and seemed to be more fluent in that language.
Unemotional tour, much too hasty.
The tour was very interesting.
In one word: meh. The separate guide (I believe this is just a private member of staff at Terezin so you could likely just organise a tour at the small fortress yourself) was very informative and filled with moving subject matter. I have previously visited Terezín but went with my partner who hadn’t been and wasn’t confident navigating Czech transport so wanted to do a planned trip. Our guide (I never did catch his name) was nice enough but unfortunately we couldn’t hear a word of the 50 minute talk to Terezin as the mini bus sound system was awful. The entire tour felt rushed, we didn’t have chance to look at anything before we were being rushed off to the next thing. Having done this experience independently myself, I wouldn’t be in a rush to book this tour again and would rather make a note of the bus’ as I did last time and download a few audio podcasts for the journey that I could actually hear and have enough time to comfortably walk around the sites without being rushed.
The guide was exceptional. She was knowledgeable and kind.
Tour was good and kept on schedule . Tour guide gave a lot of background detail and history . He was knowledgeable . At the Museum in Terezin , I felt too much time was spent in the cinema and not enough time in the museum seeing the artifacts and items .
