This is a smooth way to purchase a Japan railway pass. Everything went well and quick with the purchase and the vouchers arrived timely. It was super easy to exchange them to actual card. JR pass is very useful, we spent two weeks in Japan and travelled a lot with bullet trains as well as local trains. Having access to some of Osaka and Tokyo local suburban trains was an extra gem. For example we could take the train to Universal Studios Japan or Osaka castle. If you stay in Japan for more than a couple of days and want to explore around different cities, I highly recommend the pass.
Luna was a good tour guide!
The JR pass provided ease and availability of train travel all over Japan. It was sometimes difficult to establish which trains were included, especially in large cities with multiple providers and Metro/underground systems. It was disappointing that the Nozumi wasn’t included in the pass, when it is included in some of the cheaper regional passes, however we managed to navigate through Japan effectively.
this pass is only for JR, very overpriced considering JR is not one of the main train lines around Japan. still had to pay for trains within cities
