Completely surrounded by ancient walls and preserving all its medieval charm, Óbidos is one of the most famous and visited places in Portugal, and a must-see in the surroundings of Lisbon. The narrow cobbled streets that can be seen in Óbidos will immediately transport you to a medieval atmosphere.
These streets are home to perfectly preserved old houses, historic buildings, and important monuments. Dominating the historic center in the highest part of the village, visit the Castle of Óbidos, which is declared one of the 7 wonders of Portugal.
Start at the village main gate, and discover the amazing narrow streets outside of the beaten track. Visit the secret Jewish neighborhood and its white-painted houses with some great spots to take pictures. Walk along Rua Dereita, the most famous street, full of stores and traditional restaurants, and get to the castle of Óbidos.
It was built in the 12th-century, although it has Roman constructions in its beginnings. It can be said that it is one of the best preserved and largest fortresses of the country, being listed as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. From there, you will clearly see the great wall of Óbidos, another of the town’s great symbols.
Continue the trip heading to possibly the most famous fishing town in Portugal, Nazaré, where you will visit the Forte de Sao Miguel. This site has become world-famous for the giant wave that hits its coast every winter and attracts lots of surfers from all over the world.
Then, walk through O Sitio, where the famous streets present a collection of religious buildings and are a hugely popular site for pilgrims from all around the globe. Hike your way up to the summit, where you'll find medieval fortifications, 17th-century churches, and modern shrines.
Wander the courtyards and plazas surrounded by ornate structures, basilicas, and statues.
Next, head to Oporto, the last stop of the day. First you will have 1h to have a typical Portuguese lunch on your own to regain energy, and then, the visit will start. A vibrant 1.5-hour walking tour, where you will admire the stunning Old Town on the picturesque Douro River, complete with six bridges, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Igreja Carmen, Estação São Bento, Igreja São Francisco and Ponte Don Luis.
At the end of your tour, you will return to the center of Lisbon and your guide will recommend things to do during the rest of your stay.

the sound quality from the guide headset was not good.
It was wonderful, Ricardo our guide was very informative, good value for the price
It wasn't what I expected. I understood both languages, and the information was never the same in each language. Things were left out. We didn't make good use of our time, we walked very slowly, and the tour guide always stayed behind. Several people on the tour expressed their dissatisfaction with his laziness throughout the day. He was very talkative on the bus.
Perhaps Porto could be better appreciated with a little more time.
An excellent tour to Porto and back with João as our guide. The bus was comfortable and our stops were interesting. The only surprise was that a 12 hour tour took more than 13, but it was a great value for our travel budget 😃
By far THE WORST TOUR I HAVE EVER BEEN ON IN MY LIFE. We paid for a tour in Spanish and the tour guide introduced himself saying that he would give the tour in both languages (which would have been acceptable). However, he gave mediocre explanations in English and spoke even worse Spanish. I kindly asked him to at least say the same thing in both languages and he replied rudely that he would give the tour as usual. The tour had no content and 80% of the time was spent on transportation. It completely ruined our visit to Porto. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
the 3 cities clearly has a lot to offer- it was all a must see but the time was a bit restricted. and the tour guide was rude.
A wonderful trip, you visit three beautiful places, even if you only spend an hour in each. Unfortunately, the distance from Lisbon to Porto is quite long, so you spend half the time on the bus. After 13 hours of visiting, you arrive exhausted. Is it worth it? Sni Everything was beautiful, but too long.
Our guide Joao was fantastic. In an hour and a bit he told us and showed us a lot, so we could feel the city and its history, architecture and heritage. The driver Marta was great. Offeli was also good but it's a shame she didn't tell us more about Portugal itself along the way and we had plenty of time. In any case, a lot of good content in one trip.
