You will marvel at the sunset over the islands of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro from a viewpoint (1400m of elevation), right by a lava flow from a volcanic eruption noted in the ship's log by Cristopher Colombus in 1492. Every sunset is different! You can celebrate this unique experience and take pictures of the beautiful colors of the sky with the sun shining through a glass of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) we provide.
After sunset, if conditions allow (wind, clouds and temperature) we will transfer to another beautiful viewpoint. Our guides will show you stars, constellations and planets using a laser pointer and their storytelling skills. We will explain how to find Polaris, the North Star, using the asterism in Ursa Major, and how to find the Andromeda galaxy using the great square of Pegasus, all while learning some Greek mythology. You will further enjoy the details of planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters through the 12" Dobsonian telescope we provide.
Depending on the time of the year, you will see:
- the Moon, which will be the main object in the sky the days before and on full moon
- the planets and their features such as the rings of Saturn and the Galilean moons around Jupiter when they are visible in the sky (in the summer and autumn months),
- beautiful galaxies, nebulae and star clusters such as the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters in the constellation of Taurus (in winter).
We will take photos of the guests individually using astrophotography techniques that show the blanket of stars above you. Free of charge!

NOTE: If our guides consider the weather conditions to be adverse (high wind, clouds or low temperatures), they will make the decision to stay at the lower viewpoint, which in itself is already perfect for stargazing and does not detract from the overall experience

Our tours are in ENGLISH.
VIP option: we offer pick-up/drop-off service ONLY on the South coast of Tenerife, between El Medano and Los Gigantes (with some exceptions). Pick-up is at your address or within few minutes walking distance.
SELF-DRIVE option: you must have a rental car (not public transportation, nor taxi) to join the tour.
The exact pick-up time (VIP) or meeting time (SELF-DRIVE) will be notified via WhatsApp the same day. Disregard any different time on your digital ticket as it is only generic.
The activity is carried out at public viewpoints where it is allowed by local authorities (not on Mt.Teide!).
If you are unreachable via Whatsapp (wrong number) or GYG email, we consider you a no-show and you will receive no refund.
Kids under 5 y.o. are not allowed on the VIP tour. They are welcome with the self-driving option.

It was such a great experience! Fun, inspiring and educating at the same time. Our guides Jenny and Andrew were brilliant. We did not notice how fast the time flew by. I would definitely do this again!
This is an excellent experience designed to give you exactly what you are looking for: a guide to the stars, information about the solar system, and a beautiful sunset with some delicious wine. The guides were fantastic, funny, and knowledgeable. The stars and sunset were incredible. I appreciated the smaller vans picking us up so we didn’t have to sit on a big bus for awhile before arriving at our destination

I was always happy with the tours booked from Get your guide but unfortunately this time i was really disapointed. Don't get me wrong,the guides Jenny and Vlad were very nice,funny and friendly,but the whole experience felt lime a scam a bit. We paid 30 pounds and when we arrived at the meeting point we been told that we can go and watch the sunset here and there,which sorry but i didnt need a guide to tell me where i can watch the sunset as i was already there. Then basically we didnt go anywhere from the meeting point,we stayed in the same place and been showed some stars and planets which all looked the same,small white dots ,which i could see with my phone almost in the same quality. The only good part was the guides and the included sparkling wine. So if you are not an astronomic enthusiast,do not expect too much from this tour ( which honestly i cant even call a tour). 3 stars from my side unfortunately,just because of the guides.
We had a brilliant time on the trip! Both Roland and Peter were incredibly knowledgeable about the stars and our solar system, and we learned so much throughout the experience. We had the opportunity to look through telescopes at planets, star clusters, and galaxies, which was fab. I also spotted satellites, a shooting star, and even a Starlink satellite train. As someone who isn’t particularly interested in astronomy and booked the trip mainly for my partner, who is, it was absolutely worth it. The VIP option is a fantastic addition and really enhanced the experience. It was also great not having to worry about transport, and the communication from the company beforehand was excellent. We would definitely recommend it!
Fantastic tour, well organised, great communication regarding pick up times, info etc. On the night, Peter was an amazing guide and so knowledgeable. We enjoyed the Cava during sun set. Stargazing was unforgettable, we saw and learnt so much. Phil was funny and took excellent photos. Thank you, we had a memorable time and highly recommend this trip.

Incredible. I enjoyed it from the drive up the mountain, breaking the clouds seeing the beauty of the mountain. The meeting point and point of activity was great. Had a lot of fun up there, enjoying the wonderful view, took pictures. The stargazing itself was super, we learned a lot, saw a lot through the telescopes and by naked eye. Can’t recommend it enough. Jenny, our guide was amazing, really kind and fun.
