You will marvel at the sunset over the islands of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro from a viewpoint (1400m of elevation), right by a lava flow from a volcanic eruption noted in the ship's log by Cristopher Colombus in 1492. Every sunset is different! You can celebrate this unique experience and take pictures of the beautiful colors of the sky with the sun shining through a glass of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) we provide.
After sunset, if conditions allow (wind, clouds and temperature) we will transfer to another beautiful viewpoint. Our guides will show you stars, constellations and planets using a laser pointer and their storytelling skills. We will explain how to find Polaris, the North Star, using the asterism in Ursa Major, and how to find the Andromeda galaxy using the great square of Pegasus, all while learning some Greek mythology. You will further enjoy the details of planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters through the 12" Dobsonian telescope we provide.
Depending on the time of the year, you will see:
- the Moon, which will be the main object in the sky the days before and on full moon
- the planets and their features such as the rings of Saturn and the Galilean moons around Jupiter when they are visible in the sky (in the summer and autumn months),
- beautiful galaxies, nebulae and star clusters such as the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters in the constellation of Taurus (in winter).
We will take photos of the guests individually using astrophotography techniques that show the blanket of stars above you. Free of charge!
Take home great memories of Tenerife's dark sky!
NOTE: If our guides consider the weather conditions to be adverse (high wind, clouds or low temperatures), they will make the decision to stay at the lower viewpoint, which in itself is already perfect for stargazing and does not detract from the overall experience

I think the stargazing tour is well worth it - you see a part of Tenerife that most visitors don’t go to and you also get a really good look at the stars, which is not easy these days when there’s so much light pollution. The tour guides are really passionate about what they do and there is a lot of banter between them. I also learned quite a bit about astronomy.
The tour was amazing with the guides showing very in depth knowledge. The guides were interactive throughout the experience making sure everyone was included and had a lighthearted comical bond between them and the groups which lead to good entertainment and made it a warm and educational trip.
Great night, few too many people out and about but very knowledgeable tour guides, 4/5
The guides where very very knowledge based. The complete tour was perfectly organized and the spots they were visited where also perfect. 10/10
The full experience was amazing. So handy having a pick up with the VIP option , super comfy transport, very knowledgeable friendly driver, followed by an amazing sunset experience and star gazing . Would highly recommend
nothing special! Doesn't worth the money at all! Stop to a sunset spot and then move forward 10km to watch the stars; The sky was absolutely beautiful, the story and knowledge of the guides top notch (the only interesting or valuable thing);Otherwise waste of money and time; Could invest more in better Telescops to actually see something not only light spots! Thank you !
Absolutely lovely way to spend an evening. You are at the mercy of the weather and the calima made for a different sunset, but it was still beautiful. Where the event hits all the marks is the professionalism of the guides, completely full of knowledge and humour. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about the night sky, or just to escape the buzz of clubs and discos. We took a picnic and sat on a wall whilst the guys set up the equipment. They were great in helping us get the most from our phone cameras and the next morning we received a photo taken by them, which was lovely. Thanks guys
Jamie and the guys were so knowledgable and also very funny as a team. We learned so much and got a fantastic experience! Well worth the money. You get a beautiful sunset, some laughs and star gazing that you may never experience. Would definitely recommend
Very nice tour. The driver's driving left a little to be desired as he drove too fast and exceeded the speed limits. Apart from that, everything was very well organized.
