Experience description:

The tour begins with departure from Strasbourg bus station and heads to the first stop of the day, historical Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. Upon arrival, admire the building’s architecture, learn about the people who once lived here, and marvel at the castle's stunning views across the Black Forest.

After the castle, the open-top bus follows the famous Alsace Wine Route, making a stop at one of the region's most well-preserved medieval villages along the way, Riquewihr. Spend some free time wandering through the village’s picturesque streets, shop at a local store for a souvenir, or find a cozy restaurant for lunch.

The tour continues to Kaysersberg next, to marvel at its beautiful fortified bridge nestled amongst the quaint village surroundings. Your day trip finishes with a visit to Colmar, a unique and endearing country town.

Really nice & comfortable trip, the only part I didn’t like was the train ride in Colmar, as we had to wait 40mins for the train to be full and we lost in total 1h 20 on the ride (which was nothing special) & waiting time from our allocated 2h in the city, so I’d recommend you skip it and just stroll around the city. Otherwise, it’s a good value for money especially since we didn’t need to run around trains/buses to get from one place to another.

Sebastian, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable of the history of Alsace. The tour bus was comfortable during the ride around the stops and the added bonus was him opening up the panoramic ceiling to take picturesque photos and see the beautiful views. I would highly recommend this tour to individuals, groups, families, but does require some moderate walking. Thanks for a wonderful time in Alsace.
