Join the captain and crew and set off on a 45-minute exploratory mission through Lover's Cove, a State Marine Conservation Area sanctuary. Traverse amazing undersea gardens and ocean habitats in our custom built yellow semi-submersible submarine designed after America's first nuclear-powered submarine, the USS Nautilus, on a trip that is both educational and entertaining.
Let your imagination descend into the depths of the ocean as you explore the magic and wonder of undersea life on the Nautilus. Venture into the ocean and through the kelp forest in a state-of-the-art vessel. Learn about what you see with the crew and research team and let them entertain you with their stories.
As you learn and explore, interact with the fish through a specially designed feeding system. Launch fish food torpedoes right from your seat (at an additional cost) and instigate feeding frenzies right outside your personal porthole.
Tour is located on Catalina Island- transportation by ferry to island not included.

• Please note that this cruise departs from Avalon on Santa Catalina Island. You must take the ferry to Avalon prior to boarding this tour
• Tour participants must be able to transfer to the vessel and walk 12 steep steps down to and up from the seating area
• For safety reasons, you should be in good health and free from claustrophobia or anxiety symptoms, high blood pressure, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure
• Children (3-11) and infants (0-2) must be accompanied by an adult
• Infants (2 and under) are required to have a ticket to ride the semi-submarine
• All departures are subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions. Schedules are subject to change without notice
• If you cancel your tour, you will be given a voucher for the same tour valid for 1 year from the original date of departure
Exceded our expectations! So many fish! Very fun excursion.
What an amazing EXPERIENCE! Definitely recommend this excursion. We went on a rainy day and still saw so many fish. You will be happy you went. You can buy fish food on board, they have little cannons that shoot into the water (for sure recommend it) and the fish will come to your window. I would do this excursion again. I can’t imagine what it would be like on a nice day.

Beautiful and great guide. He did an excellent job describing everything. Improve upon schedule changing. Our last day and had to miss an event that we were looking forward to. Last minute changes for vacationers isn’t good. Time is precious.
