Not really interesting, Hollywood Sign wasn't even mentioned or you couldn't see it. Very unpunctual, sometimes up to 30 minutes late or then 5 minutes early. Broken seats, audio system from World War II. Simply unacceptable!
You can see LA in a nutshell in one day. The pick-up points are sometimes described differently than indicated on the ticket. Stick to the pick-up points described. In San Francisco, we had bus driver Kirk! He told us a lot himself, which made it really fun. In LA, you were given headphones and only the stops were announced. With all the hustle and bustle of LA traffic, we understand that the bus driver has to keep his ears and eyes on the road, but Kirk also paid attention to you as a passenger when you really had to watch out for tree branches or bridges above the bus. Sometimes it's the little jokes or personal touches that make a trip extra fun.
The buses run very infrequently. When you get off, you have to wait hours for the next bus. The app is not up to date. Very poor value for money.
It's very convenient to travel with this hop-on hop-off bus because parking in Los Angeles can be expensive. It would be even better if the buses actually stopped at all the designated stops. They often just drive through and only stop at popular stops such as Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier (yellow line) and Farmers Market and Dolby Theater (red line). One bus driver simply left me standing at the stop, another wouldn't let me get off. With the headphones, you can use an audio guide, which is available in several languages. This is informative, if you don't mind that some of the information labeled as current is 10-15 years old.
Good comments in French, interesting. Buses too infrequent. Unpleasant noises (clattering) in the bus.
