Communication was great. Meeting places and times were clearly explained. Access was good and skip-the-line, a real bonus in Versailles. The tour guides were fantastic. Easy manners, good humor and created a relaxed atmosphere. The knowledge and insight they shared was relevant and appreciated. Thank you xx
I found it unpleasant because the air conditioning on the bus wasn't working properly given how hot it was. In addition, there was a terrible, strong smell of a used bathroom. For the price charged, it didn't meet my expectations.
Maravillosa
Doing 2 excursions in one really does take a lot of energy. You will have 2 guides. 1 for each part. But only 1.5hrs at Bersailles with a guide. Ratri was full of knowledge on all things art which was so insightful and interesting to listen to and made the journey feel shorter than it was. Downside was she had a very strong attitude. Seemed a bit stroppy and wanted to get off the bus and away from us as fast as possible. She had a strop when told to queue to get in Giverny which was a bit embarrassing to be with. If we had just stood in the queue when we arrived instead of dawdling next to a map we would have got in quicker. She then was on the bus with us to Versailles but when I tried catching her attention to ask a question I called out 4 times to which she ignored me. When we got off the bus again she ran off it. Took us to the next guide and said goodbye. Never told us the meeting point or time our day ended. Just gone without any help. The ac broke on the coach and stank of poo
Our guide Hendricks was a great host and wealth of information. His assistant was great as well. She went above and beyond to be helpful.
A great day out with plenty of time at both places. Our guide at Versailles, Gregory, was excellent. The palace is spectacular. The gardens at Giverny are also beautiful and well worth visiting.
Timeliness. Could have used more a/c. One of the guides was late for Versailles as he had been at the Louvre earlier. He spoke a little too fast as well
It was fabulous! All of our guides were lovely!
Long day, but really enjoyed the commentary from both guides. They obviously had researched the subject matter and knew their stuff.
