During this interactive cooking class, you’ll learn how to make two iconic dishes: the beloved Focaccia Barese, soft on the inside, golden and crispy on the outside, topped with fresh smashed cherry tomatoes, oregano, and local extra virgin olive oil and the famous Orecchiette, handmade pasta shaped using ancestral techniques passed down through generations. You'll master the traditional motion to shape each piece, just like the local nonnas do in the old town’s alleys.
At the end of the class, you'll sit down to enjoy your Handcrafted Dishes, paired with a glass of excellent Local Wine. It’s the perfect time to relax, share stories, and enjoy the warm, welcoming atmosphere that defines southern Italian hospitality.

Anna and Marika were welcoming and entertaining. The cookery course was suitable for all levels and we all agreed we would try the simple but delicious recipes at home. You won’t need to have dinner afterwards as the orecchiette pasta and focaccia are very filling. We would thoroughly recommend this informal and authentic cookery experience which was based in one of the kitchens in the old town houses in the Bari old town.

Silvia und Marika waren super Guides, der Kurs fand in lockerer Atmosphäre statt und man hat es mit viel Spaß ausprobieren können. Es war alles sehr lecker, nur schade, dass man nicht seine eigenen Nudeln oder Focaccia-Teig isst. Aber dann kann man es zuhause ausprobieren, da man ein Rezept mit Nachhause bekommt. Auf jeden Fall eine tolle Aktivität in Bari, die wir gerne gemacht haben! 😊
