For the family or the budget-conscious visiting Las Vegas, Excalibur is a great choice. It's situated on the famous corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana Ave, with some big-name neighboring resorts within a short walk. The pool deck is surprisingly large, and the Tournament of Kings dinner-and-a-show is a longtime favorite of ours.

This hotel, in a new area north of the busy-ness of Scottsdale, is a gorgeous desert oasis - we loved staying there! Everything is new and modern, with a classy western touch in the art and furnishings. The onsite restaurant/bar serves an amazing menu, and the pool deck is as beautiful as any we've seen. Plus, those views out to the mountains in the distance - wow.
