H2 Hotel Budapest

Very central location. Clean and comfortable. Good buffet breakfast included. Very friendly and courteous staff.

The shower and sink in the bedroom isnt ideal when travelling with friends. We appreciated the curtain for privacy, but even so, there was a mirror directly in front of the shower which could be seen from the bedroom, which made us feel very exposed. You also have to walk past the shower to enter the room or use the toilet, so we had to be sure to plan our showering times well. The shower in the bedroom also meant that it was impossible for one person to have a lie in if the other wanted to get up and shower, because the shower was quite loud. It was a very nice, powerful shower though, so we didnt hate everything about it! There was also a lack of storage/hanging space in the room.

Aircon doesnt work Receptionist tried to explain that because it is winter, the aircon is not going to work and to just open the window and set aircon to eco so air will circulate. She said to leave it like that and the room will get ventilated when we get back from a day of exploring budapest. We got back to the hotel at around 9pm and the room is soooooo warm. We asked for electric fans and were told they didnt have any. Our next door neighbor at room 619 happened to arrive and we asked how was the temperature in their room and they said it was freezing in their room. They tried to setup our aircon but it didnt work. Adjusting the fan speed didnt do anything. They opened their room and it was cool. She even showed me that the aircon fan speed was changing as she adjusted from aircon control panel in their room. Even the aircon in the hallways are working fine. Receptionist said the room was hot because we are 4 people in the room even after we said multiple times already that the room is already hot as we first entered the room. There is only one window in the room and it doesnt really open wide. To add salt to the wound, the sink in the shower room is clogged.

Beautiful hotel located in the centre of town and so helpful service especially in the reception! Service is very professional and so kind ! Very comfortable parking underground. The breakfasts were tasty and varied, unfortunately the scrambled eggs were probably made of some artificial powder and it was disgusting.

Cleaning service doesn't work. Unfortunately, they only clean superficially by changing towels. Bathroom dirty, bathroom door dirty, shower dirty.

Fabulous property in the heart of Budapest with an amazing breakfast buffet.

A little strange to have the bathroom basin near the bed.

Loved the hotel. Great location. Super front desk staff, and the breakfast was excellent. The only thing I'd change: add a small refrigerator in rooms. I'll definitely be back.
