The property is extraordinary; the attention to detail in the decor throughout the place is exceptional. Every time we turned a corner we were amazed at the beauty. The outdoor space is quite special - plenty of seating areas, paths, fire pits, beautiful landscape, the creek, the patio. The room was spacious, comfortable and well organized. The staff upon arrival was super friendly and helpful. We arrived before check-in and left our luggage including birthday presents. Everything had been placed in our room before our arrival.
The only thing we didn't like was the wine and small bag of nuts offered as "complimentary". We saw the $35 destination fee on our bill that covered this. It didn't sync to the image of such an extraordinary five star establishment to include this kind of charge. Cover it in the room charge in the future. The online booking site mentioned a tub in the room; we didn't know to request it in our reservation and were too late to change rooms when we discovered our room didn't have it. We would have had to give up the beautiful patio in order to get a room with a tub. We appreciate that R. made us aware to request a room with a tub in the future.
A super peaceful hotel. A great weekend getaway! Love the hotel backyard in the morning.
Very pleasant hotel with excellent communal spaces inside and out. Free parking and fast check-in and check-out. Ate at the related restaurant next door which was fine and able to charge the meal to our room.
Room was fine but didn't appear to have A/C although we didn't need it. Sink in bathroom was up a couple of steps which was a bit odd. Not wild about the $30 destination fee which included a couple of extras like a "free" bottle of house wine - but we were actually paying for it!
It is very close to the main entrance of Point Reyes National Park
No breakfast on site. There were nice options in Point Reyes Station but it would be nice to have breakfast at the hotel before you leave for an early morning hike.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff Fantastic grounds. Clean and comfortable room Charging station for my EV. Room was away from road and very quiet.
A little awareness of the dining situation. The choice in the next restaurant was bad for vegetarians. Restaurants in the town close early. Luckily station house cafe called us in without reservations. For such a wonderful property,, they could have created a breakfast experience outdoors second to none. They visit the mountain lodge in Nepal to know what I mean.
