The best breakfast ! Beautiful environment. Warm pool. Close to everything
Great coffee but it was always lukewarm! It needs to be HOT coffee-both in the thermos that was delivered every morning and at breakfast. If you're going to the trouble of serving good coffee, it really needs to be at the right temperature..and I am not a coffee snob.
Located very close to the main Street with bars, restaurants, shops; but on a very quiet street. The room was very cozy and kept cooled down, which is important for Palm Springs. The property was very pretty, romantic. Two pools were nice, with great lounge chairs, sunscreen offered, and lots of shade. Breakfast was good.
The service was minimal, close to zero interaction. The time I did interact, it felt forced, like they didn't really want to be there talking to me. The coffee delivery is a nice touch, but it was very bitter and cold by the time I got it (around 9am). The patio of four of the rooms including mine faced the main Street with minimal privacy. I had a view of parked cars. There was dead cockroach on my doorstep the last day there, which doesn't bode well for the rest of the property. Speaking from experience, it isn't ever just one roach. I booked this place specifically for the Saturday yoga and evening cinema offered. When I checked in they said they cancelled yoga for the summer due to the heat, but it's not that hot at 8am and still something that shouldn't be marketed if it isn't true. I went out in the evening to watch the movie and walked around the whole property, didn't see a thing, and went back into my room for the night. They don't offer much at all - they partner with a local restaurant but tack on 20% gratuity plus 18% hotel fee. This is on top of $30-$40 entrees. I GrubHubbed all my orders for the weekend instead, which really didn't feel like a $400/night service. I also had hoped there would be some drink service offered by the pool. Overall, the focus is on the property, which is very pretty, but there is no service. That's crazy to be considering the price, which only goes up after the summer season.
The staff is wonderful.
