About the stay

Located in the heart of the Royal Kasbah district in the ancient Marrakech Medina this romantic guest house is a 10-minute walk from the Royal Palace and the Saadian Tombs and 15 minutes from the famous Jamaâ El Fna Square. Riad Shemsi offers a vast rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Medina and Atlas Mountains and a large swimming pool in the courtyard. All accommodations combines a Moroccan and contemporary style and the suite features a spacious seating area. A full breakfast is served every morning and Moroccan dishes are offered in the restaurant. Guests can also request sandwiches or salads while sunbathing and admiring the views from the terrace. Guests can browse the free Wi-Fi by the fireplace in the living room or in the traditional Moroccan seating areas. Nearby street parking is free and Marrakesh Menara Airport is a 10-minute drive away.

Effervescent joy, Juicy peach bursts on my tongue, Sweet summer delight.

In Marrakesh's heart, Riad whispers ancient tales, Timeless oasis. Sizzling heat waves dance, Cool pool invites soothing respite, Escape summer's grasp. Guiding through the path, Staff of generosity, Kindness lights the way.

Nothing but nothing but nothing but nothing was bad but this box needs to be filled. So with aimless wandering I could find no fault but egregious joys last only so long.

Nice hidden gem in the heart of Kasbah

the service received from Raschid was absolutely fantastic. He was very professional and courteous. the rooms were very clean modern looking and you can tell they have been maintained unlike most property in Morroco. Abdussamad was very accommodating and helped us whilst we were at the Riad. The breakfast was nutritious and healthy. The location was great and only 15-20mins away from JEF square.

Paying for water. Atleast one bottle of water should be given complementary per day. It was quite expensive as going to nearby shops was vvv cheap.

Friendly team, great breakfast, and a good night's sleep!

It was my first trip to Marrakesh, and finding the Riad Shemsi was initially a little tricky - but it was well worth it. The team are outstanding. Very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and made me feel very much at home! The swimming pool area is beautiful, and the roof terrace was great to sit with a coffee and absorb the sounds of Marrakesh waking up. The breakfast is excellent - my first intro to Moroccan pancakes! And the portions are incredibly generous.

This is more on me, but I am a little noise sensitive so being on the ground floor with the lounge area just outside my room, was a little noisy for me - but nothing headphones couldn't handle (i.e. there are no parties - just the sounds of talking etc.)
