Whenever I'm driving up I-5, and I can't make my destination in one day, I always stay at the Hi-Lo. It's near Mt. Shasta and the Trinity region. Has the vibe of a retro 50's motel, with modern amenities. The beds have nice 100% cotton sheets. Some rooms have refrigerators. Suite 16 is perfect for families - 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen (I have stayed in it). There are also spots for RV parking, with hookups. Across the driveway is the Hi-Lo Cafe. Great food and great service, plus some Weed souvenirs.
