I create travel guides that include the best highlights & hidden gems and making the most of your precious travel time. Travel planning & itinerary creation is my game, especially when it comes to finding unique & boutique hotels. You'll mostly ...
The perfect hotel for a first-time visit to San Francisco! It's perfectly located to experience the city for 3-5 days. It's steps away from the most popular cable car line (get an early start and hit the Buena Vista cafe for an Irish coffee and then hop on the cable car! You're so close to Fisherman's Wharf and you can even use the free bicycles to explore the city and ride across the Golden Gate Bridge! The whole hotel feels modern, hip and chic while still maintaining a low-key vibe. Each evening they offer a social hour with free beer and wine for hotel guests to enjoy in the relaxing lounge spaces all over the hotel. Our room was well-appointed with a king bed, a record player (how cool) and a shower with insane water pressure! I also have to share how insanely fluffy the towels were! There's also a lobby coffee station each morning and cucumber or lemon water available 24/7. Can't wait to stay here again!!
This is a fantastic resort for the price point! I don't think there's better value for an adults-only all-inclusive vacation! 5 pools (including 2 swim-up bars and waterslides) and the most amazing beach! Not only is it massive, the white sand is insanely soft. There are plenty of loungers and areas to hang on the beach - waterfront, under the palm trees or among the hammocks, you choose! Being a new resort (built in 2022), everything is modern and fresh. I loved the dual vanity in the bathroom, and the balconies have great views, whether you've got partial or full sea view. You can also choose swim up rooms! I loved that there was plenty to do in the evening between the lobby bar, 24/7 sports bar and the nightclub (which was so fun whether you were 21 or 61)! The drinks were just fine, if you tip well you'll get better liquor! The bartenders are so fun and friendly! The food was perfectly fine - not amazing but no complaints! The buffet was huge and had a great variety.
The Plaza is the perfect chill & budget friendly option on Fremont Street! My favorite is the pool, which reminds me of vintage Palm Springs meets Vegas! It was a fun vibe with great music, but no pool party atmosphere - perfect for sun-tanning, socializing and having a few cocktails! It's heated and open year-round, and there's even a hot tub! The rooms here are basic but quite spacious and clean. There are great food options on site. I highly recommend Oscar's Steakhouse - it was phenomenal. Make reservations, and go hungry! The portions are massive. The rest of the food options are more casual - Hash House a Go Go (must eat), Pinkbox Doughnuts, a Mexican burrito joint, a rice bowl joint and a 24/7 Subway! The new Carousel Bar outside is a really fun vibe, and if you're a beer drinker, the main casino bar is where we found the coldest beer in Vegas!
