Humbling and poignant, this memorial is something you cannot miss when visiting NYC. It is literally where Ground Zero was during the 9-11 attacks over 20 years ago. The museum shows artifacts, pictures, and videos and has a timeline of the events that happened that day, as well as one of the most beautiful and sobering memorial displays for all the victims that day. It was one of the events that changed the culture of not only New York but the country as a whole, and visiting this memorial is one of the best ways to culturally immerse yourself in New York and American life.
Check out my entire video on Hong Kong and why it's one of my all-time favorite places. But if I had to highlight one experience, it would have to be the Sky100 Observation Deck on the 100th Floor of the International Commerce Center skyscraper in Kowloon. It's one of the best ways to see the entire city and Victoria Harbour, especially in the summer, when the heat is just too unbearable to be out, say, on Victoria Peak. I mention it in the video, but there are just too many things to mention either in a post or a video. So just go and experience it yourself!
The Conrad New York Downtown is our go-to place to stay when visiting NYC. It's in a location that is central to so many great New York sights and eats but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of areas like Times Square. The 9-11 Memorial is right across the street as is our favorite little marketplace, Le District. You can also hop on the subway a block away and get anywhere you need to with ease.
In my latest video, I explored whether Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii truly lives up to the hype and price tag—and I'm delighted to say it absolutely does! My family and I enjoyed a spacious one-bedroom suite with a lovely poolside garden view, which was perfect for our needs. The resort is packed with fun activities for both kids and adults, ensuring there's never a dull moment. The pools are incredible, offering endless splashes of joy for the little ones. Dining options cater to every palate and budget, with delightful variety at every turn. Plus, we experienced outstanding service from the friendly staff, making our stay even more enjoyable. Our kids are already dreaming of our return! Was it worth it? Absolutely! We can’t wait to come back in 2026!
