West Virginia is one of those states that tends to get overlooked. Most people don’t even realize all that this beautiful state has to offer. Being the most mountainous state in the US and having 78% of its landmass covered in forest, West Virginia is the outdoor enthusiasts dream! We started our trip at Winterplace Ski Resort where we spent the morning learning to snowboard at their renowned ski and snowboard school before working our way north through the nations newest National Park, New River Gorge National Park and saw the longest steel arch bridge in the US! We then headed to the state capital of Charleston where we had one of the best meals of our lives at 1010 Bridge! Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised with how much we fell in love with West Virginia after our winter wonderland visit!
