It's only a 4 hour drive and offers so much to do. At the last minute, we decided to take advantage of an offer from American Express Platinum for the Conrad DC Hotel. We thought it was a pretty good deal and went for it....and we're glad that we did. First off, the hotel far exceeded our expectations, but the real reason for the trip, was to turn it into a food focused weekend. We consider DC a Foodie City for sure.
