Nandini Jungle by Hanging Gardens

Nandini Jungle is pure luxury and tranquility. My stay at this hotel was delightful, although I must admit that there are more mature guests here than someone of my age. Mostly individuals aged 40 and older. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant experience, thanks to the hotel, the location in Ubud, and especially the excellent breakfast. Just a small note for the younger crowd: this accommodation is situated in the north of Ubud, a rather quiet area where Gojek and Grab aren't readily available for ride services or food delivery. Additionally, the hotel is about 30 minutes away from the center of Ubud.

Top quality service, who always greeted you, were available 24 hours a day, and did what they could to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Comfortable rooms with good amount of space. Great facilities e.g. Spa, pool, restaurant and bar. Beautiful location and resort.

Some of the extras weren't good value for money and were very overpriced. For example, the honeymoon dinner price was equivalent to the price of Michelin star restaurant in London or New York, but this wasn't reflected in the food quality sadly.

The location, the facilities, the staff.

We accidentally broke a plastic bottle of hair conditioner in the shower, it slipped off. At checkout, we were billed 412,000 idr= 26 usd (!) for it. 26 USD For a hair conditioner retainer bottle made of plastic. After complaint, it was reduced to half. While taking responsibility for damage is of course ok, never in my life have I been charged for consumables like that. Its like being charged for accidentally braking a glass in a restaurant. Very strange, and feels petty, Id recommend management to review this policy.

Gorgeous place hidden in the North ubud ,right in the forest and with his own river and small waterfalls, hidden jem for a couple of day of pure bliss.. Be carefull Everything is perfect from the arrival to the check ou!!

Very very far out from ubud town centre around 45 mins taxi! Also you cant use the pool in the other hanging gardens which is amazing Lots of steps too!

Food and drinks are little expensive that is the average in Bali, but finally its not a big issue. I cant mentiom anything else.

The location and views were superb. Beautiful hotel and gardens and the staff were wonderful. The pool area is spectacular.

We would rate the food 6 or 7 out of 10. For such a luxury resort we feel the food could have been better.

Since I was only scheduled for a one night stay, I wanted to experience everything on property. I checked in around 5 PM and decided I would avail of the massage appt that was open for 5:30 PM. Since I really did not know the full layout of the property, the young lady who checked me in became like a personal guide explaining all the amenities in my room and then escorting me to the spa area so I would not be late for the appointment. She would also become my source of information in case I needed something during my stay. From the SPA, I headed up to the bar for a cocktail and then had a full dinner at the restaurant. I was so surprised that there was a mini showcase of Balinese culture around 8 PM that evening. It was a wonderful way to be greeted to Bali. Heading back to the room required some steps and stairs from a lower level to a higher level where my room was located. The walkways were well lit so I did not need to open my phone for additional lighting. My room was exactly what I had hoped for. It was just a few steps from the main lobby. It had a spacious bathroom with an oblong soaking tub and also a great shower. The room also featured a two sided balcony/veranda with a lounge bed, a two person seating and a hanging swing. Wow what a wonderful view. The bed was very comfortable with a desk that spanned the entire length of the king size bed. How perfect that I can just lay out my personal items across the entire length if I choose to. The best part was having a power source next to the bed so I can easily plug my phone. The next day, I was awakened by the morning sunlight. I had a chance to enjoy the hot coffee and the welcome fruits on the veranda before heading down for another appointment at the SPA. I also had a chance to just enjoy an early morning walk to the pool area. It was 8 AM so the pool was not yet open to swim in but it was so peaceful to just chill for a bit to appreciate the jungle view.

Getting to the hotel: Until you get to the property, you won't know that the property is a bit of a challenge to find. My driver passed the small signage in broad daylight while driving on a road that looked like two bike lanes. Luckily, there was no other car in front of us when we had to somehow turn back. Steps and Stairs I also did not realize what it truly meant that the property is on a hill until I got there and had to walk up and down numerous steps to various levels. From my room to the SPA, it seems that there might have been 8 floors between the two. So please be prepared in case your room is closer to the pool or spa. I had knee issues so I had to walk carefully and I took advantage of the outdoor elevator/Funicular from the pool area to the SPA.
