Everything! The amenities and location were perfect. The staff was great too!
Location
“Renovated”restroom was cheaply done. Needed a shelf in the shower. Valet walked away without helping with bags or car doors.
Location in the city is nearly unbeatable and the rooms were comfortable - nothing special but what you would expect for a hotel room and definitely clean!
The main thing that we didn't like were the hot tub hours (which were not clearly listed online or in the hotel that any of us saw at least), which ended strangely early in the evening (7pm). My parents run a hot tub rental business in the nearby area and they typically close at 10pm (and provide a much more specialized and private reservation service than this hotel does for the hot tubs). We even paid an extra ~$30/night compared to another alternative hotel we considered because we wanted to have access to a hot tub, but with their hours of operation and our schedule, we essentially paid extra for no hot tub access. Lesson learned for next time if that is our deciding factor, I suppose. Otherwise, I would recommend staying here for a weekend in Portland!
