Location
Incredible noise from the street all night.
Excellent location and staff! Giselle provided us with detailed good information, while also being very personable and proffessional. The live music was excellent and a great vibe in the bar! Also Sebastian made us the best coffee's we had in all of Ireland (which were all good) but his was stellar! Also the Olympia Theatre is on the same block. It is a small historic venue with amazing artists. Teddy Swims was performing while we were there!
Parking was an absolute nightmare!!! We spent an hour going in circles ending in pedestrain only streets to find the car park and finally gave up and had to park else where. Giselle helped us get a discount where we ended up so that was great, however we were very frustrated. As for our room, we could barely fit into the shower, and no shelves for soap, shampoo etc. The toilet handle was falling out of the wall and only ever flushed after 3 tries. Beds were comfy, but noise below room 207 was loud early morning....but hey, it's the charm of the place : )
Very friendly staff and good communication
Terrible for getting sleep. We had an overnight layover and wanted a hotel close to the bus stop but didnt realize how loud this would be. It wasnt even the bar noise or music that was a problem - thats to be expected given the location and its loud. But there is something in the road that cars go over that is constantly LOUD! It wasnt a good hotel to get rest. Its probably just best if you need something after the bar closes.
The staff were amazing; extremely hospitable & helpful. Also, the location of this property is sublime - if you want to truly experience & enjoy the Dublin City Centre, this location is perfect.
Truly, the only thing we lacked were washcloths, but we understand that to be a bit of a cultural difference between Europe and the US. Also, our room was "smallish" compared to what we're accustomed to in the US, but it was no problem.
Location great for going to 3 Olympia theatre breakfast was lovely
