Pedra Nova

This was the most amazing stay weve had on our travels so far. Miguel and Ines are extremely friendly and a truly natural hosts. The house is decorated to such a high standard, and the pool is huge. Miguel and Ines prepared us lovely meals and even catered to my vegetarian diet. We spent such a tranquil few days here, relaxing in the garden and by the pool and exploring the lovely historical village. We also got to see Miguels pet donkeys. The house has many private areas to spend time in, and also looks perfect for winter. This stay definitely made a mark on us, we cant wait to return. Thanks, Lauren and jack.

There is nothing to dislike!

Great hospitality as usual with Miguel and Ins. Pedra Nova has such a friendly and familiar environment, great to spend some relaxing days! either indoors when the weather is less appealing, or outside by the pool when temperatures call for it. The homemade dinners were great too!

Perfect location with excellent property facilities.

Everything about our stay at Pedra Nova was exceptional! The host, the house, the room, the facilities, and the meals were all top notch in every respect. The location is perfect for exploring Castelo Novo, as well as visiting other historical villages in the area. (Castelo Novo is beautiful, but do not miss Monsanto, Sortelha, Belmonte and Idanha-a-Velha, all of which are short drives from Pedra Nova.) Miguel is a kind and helpful host and Pedra Nova is by far the best B&B in which we have ever stayed.

This was the highlight of our trip. We had amazing time, the host was the nicest person I have ever met and she welcomed us and our dog very warmly. She also made amazing dinner for us and suggested great wines. In the morning we were welcomed with fresh juice and warm pancakes. Also our dog was allowed to run free in the garden which she enjoyed a lot. The view of the mountains out of the reading room are so nice in the evening. The room was also very nice with great shower.

Make sure that if you go with your car that you do not blindly follow Google maps or GPS, it took us weird way through the tiny streets and eventually we went through a street that was not meant for cars. As a result we scratched our rental car as the street was too tight. It all ended well tho. We figured out that it is better to put the church next door as destination and then the maps will take you the right way. That is also where you park your car.
