The beautiful flowers and trees.
I was suppose to have a partial view of the ocean and paid extra but the view was so far in the back that there was hardly any ocean view so to the trees being so tall
Poor signage makes difficult to find the direction. There is no room service in the evening so you need to prepare the food if you arrive late in the evening. The check in process was very slow as the trainee didn't know what to do.
Quiet, enough space for all guests
Black ants in room
Location location location. Bed was comfortable. Valet, housekeeping and the girl who answered the phone when I called to get the wifi password were all fantastic.
I paid full price for an upgraded room (467 total) with partial ocean view. (Later found out the rooms are around 250 kamaaina discount. But, my bad for not calling to book it I guess. I'd prepaid, so I don't blame the front desk for not saying anything.) I was at the very end of the mauka wing and the service elevator to get there was super run down and shabby. I got to the room and the carpet is tired, it's small, the 2 balconys just mainly see parking lot, and the convention room. There was a public hair in the bathtub. It all just felt old and gross. I was splurging on staying there my one kona night before heading to the other side and I almost wanted to just leave to hilo side and sleep in the rental car. Kinda wish I had because the sound of the elevator kept me up all night. Those crappy rooms in that wing should absolutely not be full price. I've never stayed at an Outrigger before. What a horrible first impression. Very disappointed.
Resort was beautiful and there was plenty to do Staff were very friendly
We had 3 rooms unfortunately one room had to be changed because there was no hot water. One of the rooms had cockroaches However the rooms were cleaned well.
They tried the old bait and switch. I paid for king ocean front but got pool view. They gave me the wrong room and refused to change it. One of the front desk staff even lectured me about how I misunderstood the word "oceanfront" it was terrible. But Karen helped me. Thank you Karen!
Bait and switch scam. I paid for ocean front king but I can only see the pool and water slides, they refused to change it, until Karen helped me. Thank you Karen!

Overall location
Room was not fully ready (body soap was not filled) We had a cockroach in the room. Bar at the pool was overpriced while the quality was really bad. Buildings require some renovations.
