Hollywood Volume a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times before, the room and the service was as it has been previously. Reception staff were nice and the cleaners serviced the room everyday which I don't think was the case previously.

Before when I stayed guests were able to use the main lift to go to the rooftop bar but this wasn't the case this time, even hotel guests have to queue outside with everyone else and the staff were pretty rude. My friend was coming to meet me at my hotel and the doorman wouldn't even let her in to the lobby to wait for me.

Location is excellent as it's close to the Hollywood Palladium and easily walkable to / from the venue. Staff at check in was very helpful and attentive (looking at you, Christopher). Nicely appointed room, perfect for a short stay.

there was a surprise USD $35 charge a day, $30 redeemable per day at the Cafe or restaurant which were both very expensive. If you didn't use it each day you lost it and it didn't roll over.
