Lobby was very clean, breakfast was good. We were traveling with a dog and it was very pet friendly.
Bathroom was a little small but for 1 night it did the job
This is not a place tourists to Charleston would think of, but for my purposes, the location was good, just over the Ashley River, a short drive to the medical center and the western beauty of Charleston. In the outrageously inflated Charleston hotel market, it is still a convenient spot for tourists, especially those who already know their way around downtown and the area. The Savannah Hwy. is good for connections to Folly and John’s, it’s 17, so it goes over the bridge to Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan’s, etc. one can do all of Charleston from there.
I really don’t have dislikes. I did think it was strange to be asked if I wanted maid service. I didn’t care really; it was a comfortable place to cocoon late at night, leaving early in the morning for three nights.
Good
Nothing
Very good. Staff kept it clean and was very attentive.
I used booking.com to get the room. Which I will never use again. When I got to the hotel I was told that they could not honor my room for$152, the virtual credit would not work. I am not exactly sure what happened, all I know was the staff at the hotel said I had to re book the room for $309. Really ? I already paid $152. So long story short, I never got my money back from booking.com and I had to pay a new price of $309 for the room. So $461 I paid total. I was scammed or robbed by booking.com plus the hotel scammed me. So. Not a good experience. I am in the process of contacting the better business bureau and my lawyer.
Annoying noise the first night, turned out to be an overflowing toilet in the adjoining room. Quickly fixed by a very friendly maintenance guy.
The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good and there is always coffee in the lobby. The price was very reasonable.
We didn’t have a car, so we had to get a ride to anywhere as places like grocery stores and restaurants were all at least a mile away, but if you have a rental then that’s not a problem.
